It's the fine details that separate our tailoring from just another alteration seamstress that takes YEARS of experience in bridal couture techniques and is a skilled trade. When you work with a salon who has ON STAFF alterations (not a contracted seamstress or a recommendation list) it means we know the gowns inside and out. Your dress NEVER travels and has to leave the salon. You are able to see your tailoring in the huge mirrors and professional lighting to see every detail. There is no guess work - this is the only seamstress work we do... bridal and formals. We pride ourselves in understanding the construction of bridal gowns which you will see in our custom gowns/private label. A gown is constructed or tailored correctly if you CANNOT TELL ANYTHING WAS ALTERED in the gown. You want it to look as though nothing had to be done when it's all complete. Over the years, we have helped many people who have gone to a "seamstress" who has butchered their dress and now they are having to pay again for work that wasn't done in the first place. Classy Concepts Bridal Boutique also gives all of our brides discounted rates on tailoring when the gown is purchased here to bundle the services and offer savings. Allow $200-400 for bridal gown tailoring (hem, bustle, take in/let out, add gel cups, etc). Lace and beaded gowns are more labor intensive and do require more time which leads to more expense to have it completed properly.
